“Alix is a dynamic and gifted teacher, striking a unique balance of compassion and enthusiasm so often sought after by writing students. I have witnessed adults and young people alike finding both inspiration and encouragement in her courses, acquiring techniques that have provided them with a confidence, even a voice they didn’t know they had.”

–Betsy Wheeler, Managing Director, Juniper Institute for Young Writers

Alix is infectious.  Her exercises and ability to engage with the crowd made this a really wonderful workshop.  My only complaint is that it would have been great if we could have stayed with her and continued to work.  It felt like we were just finishing the warm up, and then the session was over.”

“Powerful, brilliant, masterful! Just a few words to describe Alix’s program. She gives her participants the confidence to step out and claim their voice in a newfound way. Thank you for giving my girls this opportunity!”

–Sara Nowlin, Director, Eleanor Roosevelt Center Girls’ Leadership Camp

Alix has routinely received the highest rating from conference attendees for her work…Alix characteristically goes above and beyond what is usually expected of a presenter in all aspects.”

-Michael Salinger, founder/director  PSI Poetry Cross Training Conference

“A great workshop about words and word choice. Alix is great about pushing the limits of words and reconstructing meaning.”

–Joshua Thompson, participant in “Upping the Ante” (Creating Change Conference)
